MicroStrategy ONE

Developer Preferences: International category, Language preferences

Use Language preferences to select the language in which you want to view MicroStrategy Developer.

From the International category on the left, you can specify the following language preferences:

  • Interface language: Select the language in which to display MicroStrategy Developer, from the list of languages that MicroStrategy supports.

  • Language for metadata and warehouse data if user and project level preferences are set to default: Select whether to use the same language that is used for the MicroStrategy Developer  translation (the Interface Language) or to use the language that is specified in the local machine's Regional Options.

The chosen language will be applied to the following:

  • Metadata object names and descriptions. These include all MicroStrategy objects, such as attributes, metrics, filters, and other object names that are part of the MicroStrategy reporting environment.

  • Warehouse data. This includes your organization's data from your warehouse. This data will be displayed in a translated form if your company has provided translations for the data.

  • Report Services date and numeric format. If you own MicroStrategy Report Services, this includes the display of dates and numbers in Report Services documents and dashboards.

  • Server messages. This includes informational messages such as confirmation messages or error messages.

You can change the regional settings of the system by choosing Regional Options from the Control Panel on your Start menu.

If you change the MicroStrategy Developer language, you must restart MicroStrategy Developer for the new language to be displayed.
