About designing and working with graph reports

You can view any MicroStrategy report as a graph by selecting Graph image\ebx_-1664632904.gif from the View menu in MicroStrategy Developer while viewing a report. Be aware that not all report results suit every graph style. The Graphing chapter in the Advanced Reporting Help contains a table that describes the minimum object requirements for each graph style. Use the table as a guideline when you are selecting a graph style in which to view your graph report.

You can also select Grid Graph view to see the report grid and corresponding graph side-by-side. This allows you to add and replace objects on the grid and immediately see how its corresponding graph changes.

Reports saved while displayed in Graph view are displayed in Graph view when reopened. Likewise, reports saved while displayed in Grid Graph view are displayed in Grid Graph view when reopened.
