Developer Preferences: Developer category, History preferences

The History List is a folder that automatically stores report results for certain reports you have executed. This includes reports that have been scheduled to be executed and delivered to you at a certain time, and reports that you want to execute while logged out. You can specify additional types of reports to be automatically stored in your History List folder, and you can specify some aspects of History List display.

From the Developer category on the left, you can specify the following History preferences:

Automatically send reports to History List during execution: If you select this option, the results for all reports you execute are returned to the History List folder, where you can view the results.
Show only unread messages: Report results are sometimes called messages. If you select this option, the report result is no longer displayed in the History List after you view a report's results in the History List and then close the report .
Show a warning before the History List reaches the maximum allowed: When the History List reaches the maximum number of report results that it is allowed to store, it begins to delete the oldest report results. If you select this option, you receive a warning message before the History List begins to delete the oldest report results.
Display the message when this percentage of messages is reached: If you prefer to see the warning described above sooner, you can type a percentage for stored report results to reach before the warning is displayed. For example, if you want to be warned when the History List folder is three quarters (75%) full that the system will soon begin deleting the oldest report results, type 75 in this field.

Some report results stored in the History List folder are automatically archived by the system because the results contain historical data. When you open one of these report results, you can only view it, you cannot interact with the report data.
