Layout Properties dialog box: Layout

The Layout section of the Layout Properties dialog box contains the following properties, which are applied to the selected layout:

• Name: contains the name of the layout, which is displayed on the layout tab. This does not apply if the document does not contain multiple layouts.

• Use shared page header/footercheck box: is selected, which means that the page header and footer sections are shared for all layouts in the document. Clear this check box to use different page sections for each layout. For more information on the implications of sharing page headers and footers, seeUsing separate page headers and footers for layouts. This does not apply if the document does not contain multiple layouts.

• Automatically maintain targets for all selectors in this layout: determines whether attribute and metric selectors automatically target all Grid/Graphs and panel stacks that are in the same panel or document section as the selector. If this check box is cleared, you must manually select the targets when you create selectors. If any targets had been automatically maintained, they are saved; no targets are deleted or changed. You must always select the target for panel selectors, regardless of this setting. For more information on this property, see Automatically maintaining targets for selectors.
