Renaming layouts

In Design view and PDF view, the layouts are displayed as tabs, so that you can easily switch between layouts. Tabs are also displayed in all modes in MicroStrategy Web. By default, the layouts (and therefore the tabs) are named Layout1, Layout2, and so on. You may want to give the layouts more meaningful names since the layout tabs are shown in various views.

Prerequisite

The following procedure assumes that you have already created a document with multiple layouts. For instructions on creating a document, see Creating documents. For instructions on adding another layout, see Creating multi-layout documents.

To rename a layout

1. Open the document in Design view. (How?)

2. Right-click the layout tab to rename, and then select Rename.

3. Type the new name, and then press ENTER.
