Opening documents
You can open a document to either:

Create a new document or modify an existing document, using the Document Editor (Design View)
-
View the document as it will look when printed and print it, using Adobe Acrobat Reader (PDF View)
To open a document
To modify an existing document:

Right-click the document in MicroStrategy Developer and select Edit. The Document Editor opens.
To view the results or print the document, do one of the following:

In MicroStrategy Developer, double-click the document.

In the Document Editor, select PDF from the View menu. For instructions to print the document, see Printing and viewing documents.
To create a new document:

In MicroStrategy Developer, from the File menu, point to New, and then select Document. The New Document dialog box opens.

Do one of the following:

To create a new document, select Empty Document. For more information, see Creating documents using the Document Editor.

To create a new Report Services (RS) dashboard, select Blank Dashboard. For more information, see Creating an RS dashboard: the Blank Dashboard template.

To create a new document using the Document Wizard, select Document Wizard. For more information, see Creating documents using the Document Wizard.
