Applying basic borders to selector containers

Basic border options include setting a border line on all sides of the selector, only the top and bottom, only the left and ride side, or only one side. You can also apply double borders or thick borders, or remove all borders. Basic borders do not include 3D borders or drop shadows.

Both the Formatting toolbar and the right-click menu provide easy access to quickly set basic borders for the container. (The container displays the selector items, while the title bar displays above the container, as shown in Formatting selectors.) For instructions to format borders for the title bar, see Formatting title bars of selectors.

Prerequisite

This procedure assumes you have added a selector to the document. For instructions, see Inserting selectors into documents.

To format basic borders for the selector container

  1. Open the document to be formatted in the Document Editor. How?

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Right-click the selector, point to Border, and then select the border style.
