Alignment Section of the Properties and Formatting Dialog
Use the Alignment section of the Properties and Formatting dialog to specify how text in HMTL containers, text fields, and selectors (other than search boxes) are aligned.
Access
- Open a document in Design or Editable Mode.
- Right-click a control and choose Properties and Formatting.
- In the left pane, click Alignment.
Fields
Text Alignment
Horizontal Change the horizontal alignment of text within the text field. Select to display all borders and specify their colors
Text control
Only available for text fields only.
Wrap text Specifies whether to wrap the text in the text field. By default, Break Words is selected.
Text direction Specifies whether the text is displayed:
- Horizontally (across the page)
- 90 degrees (vertically from bottom to top)
- -90 degrees (vertically from top to bottom)
Vertical text is not displayed when the document is exported to Excel. The Firefox browser does not display vertical text.
Padding
Adds space between the text and the border of the control. You can add padding to the Left, Right, Top, and/or Bottom of the control. Padding is not available for selectors.
