MicroStrategy ONE

Property List: Panel stack properties

Appearance

  • Name: identifies the control.

  • 3D effect: sets whether the panel stack appears flat/two-dimensional or three-dimensional. The options are:

    • None (no 3D effect)

    • Sunken (like a pressed button)

    • Raised (like a raised button)

The 3D effect border takes precedence over any existing border. If you later disable the 3D effect, the original border settings are restored.

  • 3D weight: the weight of the three-dimensional borders around the panel stack.

  • Backcolor: the background fill color of the current panel.

Backcolor is set for the current panel, not for the panel stack.

  • Backstyle: sets whether the background of the current panel is Transparent or Opaque.

Backstyle is set for the current panel, not for the panel stack.

  • Border: the style and color of the borders, set using the Border tab of the Format Objects dialog box.

  • Drop shadow: sets whether the panel stack uses a drop shadow for a floating effect.

  • Drop shadow depth: the weight of the drop shadow borders around the panel stack.

  • Gradient color: the second color to use to create a gradual color change in the current panel. The Backcolor and Gradient color are blended together.

Gradient color is set for the current panel, not for the panel stack.

  • Gradient variant: the direction of the shading between the Backcolor and Gradient color.

Gradient variant is set for the current panel, not for the panel stack.

  • Rounded corner radius: how round the corners are. A larger radius produces a more rounded corner. The range is 0-20. Rounded corners are displayed only in Flash Mode in MicroStrategy Web.

  • Tooltip: the pop-up text that is displayed when a user positions the cursor over this control in MicroStrategy Web.

  • Top corners only: determines whether rounded corners are displayed for the top corners only or all four corners. Rounded corners are displayed only in Flash Mode in MicroStrategy Web.

  • Use rounded corners: determines whether rounded corners are applied to the panel stack in Flash Mode in MicroStrategy Web.

  • Visible: determines whether the panel stack is displayed when a user views the document. By default, it is visible.

Even when this property is set to False, the control is still visible in Design View.

Export

  • Clip contents of panel stack when exporting: determines whether or not the contents are clipped when the document is exported.

  • By default, the contents are clipped (the property is set to True). If the contents of a panel stack are bigger than the panel stack itself (for example, a wide Grid/Graph), the object is clipped and not fully displayed when the document is exported, since panel stacks cannot grow in size.

  • If you change the property to False, and the same situation occurs, the panel stack is essentially not exported, allowing the contents to be fully displayed.

Flash

Other

  • Pre-load all panels: determines how the panels in the panel stack are loaded in MicroStrategy Web when DHTML is enabled. For details on panel loading, see Loading panels on demand in MicroStrategy Web. The options are:

  • Inherit from document: Uses the document-level setting, which is defined in Document Properties dialog box: Advanced.

  • All panels: Loads all panels when the document is executed in MicroStrategy Web.

  • Current panel only: Loads only the first panel (the current panel) when the document is executed in MicroStrategy Web; other panels are loaded when the user requests them.

Position

  • Left: sets the distance between the left edge of the panel stack and the left border of the section.

  • Top: sets the distance between the top edge of the panel stack and the top of the section.

  • Locked: determines whether the control can be resized or moved.

This is useful when a document template contains an object that should not be moved or resized inadvertently when multiple objects are selected at the same time. For basic information on templates, see Creating document templates; for instructions to select multiple objects simultaneously, see Selecting multiple controls simultaneously.

The lock functionality only applies to MicroStrategy Web. You can select or clear the Locked property in MicroStrategy Developer, but the control can still be sized or moved in MicroStrategy Developer.

Size

  • Height: sets the height of the panel stack.

  • Width: sets the width of the panel stack.

View

  • Show title bar: displays a title bar which helps to identify the object and provides a dashboard or portal look to your documents. When the document is displayed in MicroStrategy Web, users can minimize and maximize the panel stack using the title bar buttons.

  • Title: of the panel stack; displays in the title bar of the window only if Title bar display (see below) is set to Title of panel stack.

  • Title bar display: sets what is displayed in the title bar of the panel stack. The options are:

  • Name of current panel: displays the name of the current panel, as set in the Panels tab of the Properties dialog box.

  • Title of panel stack: displays the title of the panel stack, as set in the Title property above.

  • Title height: sets the height of the title bar.
