Import Data from a Local File

Starting in Strategy One (September 2025), you can import Excel spreadsheets with multiple sheets into your Mosaic model and import additional spreadsheets in the Preview page.

You can import data using a local file into your Mosaic model.

1. Create a Mosaic model or edit an existing one.

2. In the Sources tab, click Local File.

   

3. Select the file(s) to import and click Open.

   Supported formats include Excel, CSV, JSON, Text, SAS data files, GeoJSON, KML, and XML files.

4. To add more files, drag and drop files into the left pane or click select files, choose the file(s), and click Open.

5. To add a file to your model, hover over the file in the left pane and click Add.

   To add multiple files, select the check box next to the file in the left pane and click Add in the top-right corner.

6. Click Proceed.

7. Use the Prep and Model page to continue to create your Mosaic model using Data Preparation and to Accept and Dismiss Suggestions.
