Pie: Additional formatting options

In addition to using the option tabs in the Graph Preferences dialog box to configure the graph components, you can also right-click some components in the graph to modify their look and feel or drill down to get details of report data.

For additional options available for all graph styles, see Additional options for all graph types.

Some or all of the following options are available depending on what graph substyle is displayed for your Pie chart graph report:

  • Format Pie Data Label: Right-click a data label, select Format Pie Data Label from the pop-up list, and then select the desired Font format in the dialog box.

  • Format Pie Group Label: Right-click a data group label, select Format Pie Group Label from the pop-up list, and then select the desired Font format in the dialog box.

  • Format Pie Slice: Right-click a pie slice, select Format Pie Slice from the pop-up list, and then select the desired Line and Fill format for all the pie slices in the same data series.

If your pie chart looks too "busy" or cluttered, limit the number of categories and series you display on the graph. To do so, in Graph or Grid/Graph mode, select Graph and then Preferences. On the General tab, adjust the Maximum number of categories and Maximum number of series settings.
