Pie: General category

In the General category for Pie charts, some or all of the following options are available depending on what type of Pie chart you are formatting:

  • Pie Tilt: Tilts the Pie chart. Smaller values make the pie more flat (facing the viewer). The maximum value tilts the pie so that only the pie edge is shown.

  • Pie Depth: Changes the depth of the pie to make the pie appear three-dimensional.

  • Pie Rotation: Rotates the pie around its center, which changes the position of the pie slices.

  • Pie Explode: Detaches all slices away from the center of the pie.

  • Pies Per Row: Allows you to select a number of pies per row. If you have more than one category in your data sheet, a Pie chart is created for each category. In multi-pie graphs, you can select the number of Pie charts to display on each row. The default setting displays three Pie charts on each row. Since each pie represents one category in your data sheet, you may not select a number of pies per row that is greater than the number of categories in the data sheet.

  • Hole Size: Allows you to select the ring hole size (0 to 100) if Ring Pie is selected in the Layout category . A value of zero selects a normal Pie chart with no hole in the middle.

  • Restore All Slices: If slices have been detached or removed from a Pie chart, restores all slices to their original settings.
