MicroStrategy ONE

User Editor: Project Access Tab

From the Project Access tab of the User Editor, you can assign privileges to a user for any and all available projects.

The projects are listed across the top, and the privileges are listed in the left-most column.

To assign a privilege to a user for all projects, select the checkbox next to that privilege's name, in the User Level column.

The drop-down list beneath each project's name lists the security roles available for that project. To assign a security role to the user, open the drop-down list and select the checkbox next to the role or roles you want to assign. The drop-down list displays one or more of the following:

  • Blank, if the user has no privileges from a group or a security role.
  • Inherited Access, if the user has inherited privileges in this project from at least one group
  • The name of a security role assigned to the user for this project
  • [Security role name] + [Inherited access] if the user has inherited privileges from a security role and at least one group
  • Multiple, if the user has been assigned multiple security roles for this project
  • [Multiple] + [Inherited access], if the user has inherited privileges from multiple security roles and at least one group.

Several MicroStrategy products require separate licenses for their related privilege to be available (for example, Web Professional privileges, OLAP Services privileges, Report Services privileges, and so on.)
