Security Role Editor

A security role is a set of privileges that can be assigned as a set to users and can be reused from project to project. Security roles enable you to assign a unique set of privileges to users on a per project basis. They are created and maintained at the project source level and assigned to users at the project level.

The Security Role Editor is used to modify or create a security role that you have browsed to using the Security Role Manager.

Use the Security Role Editor to:

  • Edit the name of a security role

  • Edit a security role's description

  • Select the privileges to associate with a security role

Accessing the Security Role Editor

  1. Access the Intelligence Server Administrator page. (How?)

  2. On the Intelligence Server Administrator page, select Security Role Manager. The Security Role Manager opens.

  3. Edit a security role by selecting the Edit icon in the Actions column.
