Gauge: Additional formatting options

In addition to using the option tabs in the Graph Preferences dialog box to configure the graph components, you can also right-click some components in the graph to modify their look and feel or drill down to get details of report data.

Some or all of the following options are available depending on what graph substyle is displayed for your Gauge graph report:

  • Format Y1 Axis Label: Right-click the Y1 Axis labels on the left of the graph, and select Format Y1 Axis Label from the pop-up list. Select the desired Font format in the dialog box.

  • Clear Y1 Axis Label: Right-click the Y1 Axis labels on the left of the graph and select Clear Y1 Axis Label from the pop-up list to remove the labels from the graph.

  • Descending Scale: Right-click any Y Axis label on the graph, and select Descending Scale to plot the values in descending order on the gauge dial.

  • Format Gauge Needle: Right-click any gauge needle on the graph, and select Format Gauge Needle, from the pop-up list. Select the desired Line and Fill format for the gauge needle.

  • Format Data Label: Right-click any data label on the graph, and select Format Data Label from the pop-up list. Select the desired Line and Fill format for the borders and the background of the data labels.

  • Format Frame: Right-click anywhere in the graph and select Format Frame from the pop-up list. Select the desired Line and Fill format in the dialog box.

  • Format Data Marker: Right-click any data marker on the graph, and select Format Data Marker from the pop-up list. Select the desired Line and Fill format for the borders and the background of the data markers.

    The Format Data Marker option is displayed only if there is more than one metric on the report.

  • Format Gauge Title: Right-click any group label on the graph, select Format Gauge Title from the pop up list. Select the desired Font for the gauge title.

  • Format Gauge: Right-click the gauge dial on the graph, and select Format Gauge from the pop-up list. Select the desired Line and Fill format for the borders and the background of the gauge dial.

  • FormatGaugeRange: Right-click the quality band on the graph, and select Format Gauge Range from the pop-up list. Select the desired fill color for the quality band.
