Analyzing and Comparing Two Graph Reports
Only reports that have been saved in Graph or Grid/Graph view can be compared as graphs.
To Compare Two Graph Reports
- Execute a comparative
integrity test.
- Project-versus-project test.
- Baseline-versus-project test.
- Baseline-versus-baseline test.
When setting up the test, in the Select Processing Options page make sure that you select the Compare Graph option. If you are executing a baseline-versus-project or baseline-versus-baseline integrity test, make sure that the baselines were generated using the Compare Graph option.
- Select the report in the Results Summary area, ensure there is a Completed status.
- Click the Graph tab at the top of the Report Data area.
- To zoom in or out on the graphs, click and drag the Zoom slider to the left (zoom in) or right (zoom out).
- The first difference between the graphs is circled in red. To circle the next difference, click the Next difference icon on the Report Data toolbar.
- To circle all the differences at once, click the Show/Hide differences icon on the Report Data toolbar. Click the icon again to turn off all the circles.
- To treat multiple adjacent differences as a single difference, click and drag the Granularity slider to the right.
- To separate a single difference
into several differences, click and drag the Granularity
slider to the left.
For a detailed explanation of the Granularity setting, see Grouping differences in graph and PDF reports.
- Click the Overlap icon on the Report Data toolbar to compare the data by stacking the graphs on top of each other. The baseline graph now takes up the entire view pane in the Report Data area.
- To switch between the baseline graph and the target graph, click the Bring to front icon on the Report Data toolbar or click the Baseline or Target tabs at the bottom of the view pane.
