Report Data Area

When you select a Completed report in the Results Summary area of Integrity Manager, it appears in the Report Data area.

Use the tabs to switch between the following views:

Only the Detail view, the Notes view, and the types of analysis selected in the Select Processing Options page during test setup are available.

  • Data: The data shown in Grid view, like a spreadsheet.
  • SQL/MDX: The generated SQL for the report.
  • Graph: The graph for the report.

Only reports that have been saved in Graph or Grid/Graph view can be viewed as graphs.

  • Excel: The Excel export of the report or document.
  • PDF: The PDF export of the report or document.
  • Detail: Detailed information about the report, such as the name, path within the project, ID, and the status of the Data, SQL, and Graph analysis. For more information about the report details, see Viewing the results of a test.
  • Note: The notes for the report or document.

To copy report/document data, select the data to copy, right-click in the Report Data area, and select Copy.

When the Data tab is selected, the right-click menu contains two additional options:

  • Fit columns to contents changes the width of each column so that all the data in the column is visible.
  • Fit columns to window shrinks all the columns so that they all fit in the window.

Comparing the Base and Target Report in the Report Data Area

In a comparative integrity test, both the base report and the target report are shown in the Report Data area. The display layout icons on the Report Data area toolbar allow you to switch between the following layouts:

  • Horizontal Horizontal : Displays the baseline report in the top half of the view pane, and the target report in the bottom half.
  • Vertical Vertical : Displays the baseline report in the left half of the view pane, and the target report in the right half.
  • Overlap Overlap : Displays the baseline report in the entire view pane. To switch between the baseline and target reports, click the Baseline or Target tabs at the top of the view pane.

Depending on the display layout, you can manipulate the view pane in various ways:

  • In Horizontal or Vertical layout, you can drag the divider bar between the two views to make one larger or smaller.
  • In Overlap layout, you can switch between reports with the tabs at the bottom of the view pane, or by clicking the Bring to front icon on the Report Data area toolbar. This is especially useful for comparing the differences between two graphs.

Any differences between the base and target reports are highlighted in red, as follows:

  • In the Data, SQL/MDX, or Excel views, the differences between the reports are printed in red. In Data view, to highlight and bold the next or previous difference, click the Next or Previous icon.
  • In the Graph and PDF views, the current difference is circled in red. To circle the next or previous difference, click the Next or Previous icon. To change the way that differences are grouped, use the Granularity slider. For more information about differences in graph or PDF reports, see Grouping differences in graph and PDF reports.

Notes View

In the Notes view, you can view and edit the notes for the selected report or document.

  • To obtain the most up-to-date version of the notes, click Refresh.
  • To add a note, enter the new note in the field and click Submit.
  • To edit existing notes, click Edit. After, click Submit.
  • For detailed instructions on using the Notes view, see Viewing and editing notes for reports and documents.
