Analyzing a Tested Report or Document

Once a report/document's status is Completed, you can view it in the Report Data area by selecting that report/document's entry in the Results Summary. To switch between different views of the report or document, click the appropriate tab.

In a comparative integrity test, both the base and the target are shown in the Report Data area. Any differences between the base and target are highlighted in red, as follows:

  • In the DataSQL/MDX, or Excel views, the differences between the reports are printed in red.
  • In the Graph and PDF views, the current difference is circled in red. To change the way that differences are grouped, use the Granularity slider. For more information about differences in graph or PDF reports, see Grouping differences in graph and PDF reports.
  • No differences are highlighted in the Notes view as notes are not compared between the base and target.

Viewing graphs in Overlap layout enables you to switch quickly between the base and target graphs. This layout makes it easy to compare the discrepancies between the two graphs. For instructions on using the Overlap layout, see Analyzing and comparing two graph reports.
