Cluster Data

While you are refining your data before importing, you can group similar column data into a cluster and replace the values.

  1. Open the Preview dialog.
  2. Click the table drop-down.
  3. Click Wrangle.
  4. Select a column.
  5. Select the Cluster and Edit function.
  6. The Cluster and Edit dialog opens with the column data grouped into clusters of related data.
  7. In the Algorithm drop-down, select Fingerprint or Phonetic.
  8. To replace all of a cluster's values with a new value, select the checkbox of the corresponding cluster and type the replacement value in the New Cell Value field.

  9. Click Merge and Recluster.
