Strategy ONE
Create Dashboard and Chapter Filters
Create a dashboard or chapter filter by dragging attribute and metrics from the Datasets panel to the Filter panel.
-
Open the dashboard you want to modify.
- Select the chapter to filter.
- Drag an attribute or metric to filter on from the Datasets panel to the Filter panel.
- Click More
next to the filter and define the filter. The available options vary based on the object you select.
- You can apply a filter to a single chapter, multiple chapters, or across your entire dashboard. Click More
next to the filter, point to Apply Selections To, and do one of the following:
- To use the filter for the current chapter only, select This Chapter Only. Any changes you make to the filter affect only this chapter.
- To use the filter across all chapters that use the same filter, select All Chapters Containing This Filter. Any changes you make to the filter are then reflected across your entire dashboard.
To apply the filter across your entire dashboard, add it to the remaining chapters.
To use a visualization instead of an attribute or a metric, see Create and Edit a Visualization-Based Filter for a Chapter.
