Prompt Ordering dialog box

The Prompt Ordering dialog box allows you to select the order in which the prompts are answered. You can order prompts in reports and in documents.

Before you use the Prompt Ordering dialog box, you should familiarize yourself with:

  • The purpose of prompts

  • Attribute hierarchies and attribute elements

You must have multiple prompts on the report or document before you can order them. For a document, a prompt must have been answered before the Prompt Ordering option will display.

Prompt Ordering dialog box contents

The Prompt Ordering dialog box contains the following:

  • Order is the order in which the prompt is answered. One is answered first, two second, and so on.

To order the prompts, the report or document must contain multiple prompts.

  • Location is the location of the prompt.

  • If Required is set to True, the prompt is a required prompt, meaning an answer is required from the user. A value of False indicates the prompt is not required, meaning that the user can cancel the prompt without answering it.

  • Title is the name of the prompt.

  • Up and down arrows to allow you to change the order of the selected prompt.
