Number of investment periods

Returns the number of periods for an investment, based on periodic, constant payments and a constant interest rate.

Syntax

Nper <Type> (Rate, Pmt, PV, FV)

Where:

Rate is the internal rate for each period.

Pmt is the amount paid each period. Typically it includes principal and interest, but no other fees or taxes.

PV is the present value of a series of future payments. If this value is omitted, is assumed to be 0 (zero).

FV is the value that remains after the last payment is made.

Type is a number that indicates when payments are due.
