Strategy ONE

Upgrade the Google BigQuery ODBC Driver on Windows

If you downloaded the Google BigQuery ODBC driver from Strategy Nexus, see the following steps:

  1. Close all Google BigQuery connections via Strategy or stop the Intelligence server.

  2. Move or remove content of the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\MicroStrategy\ODBC\BigQuery folder.

  3. Move the content of the ZIP archive to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\MicroStrategy\ODBC\BigQuery folder.

Ensure that all folders, OpenSSL64.DIIA, LibCurl64.DIIA, en-us, and all other files are not in any other sub-folders. They must be directly in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\MicroStrategy\ODBC\BigQuery folder.

  4. Start the Intelligence server if it was stopped.

If you downloaded or received the Google BigQuery driver directly from the Simba driver vendor, see the following steps:

  1. Close all Google BigQuery connections via Strategy or stop the Intelligence server.

  2. Move or remove content of the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\MicroStrategy\ODBC\BigQuery folder.

  3. Unpack the ZIP archive recieved from the vendor and navigate to the created directory.

  4. Move the GoogleBigQueryODBC.did license file into the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\MicroStrategy\ODBC\BigQuery folder.

  5. Inside the created folder, there are two more ZIP archives for a 32-bit and 64-bit architecture. Unpack the 64-bit ZIP archive and navigate to the created folder.

  6. Move the content of the lib directory into the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\MicroStrategy\ODBC\BigQuery folder.

  7. Navigate to the ErrorMessages folder.

  8. Move the en-US directory into the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\MicroStrategy\ODBC\BigQuery folder.

  9. Start the Intelligence server if it was stopped.
