Scatter: General category
In the General category for Scatter plots, some or all of the following options are available depending on what type of Scatter plot you are formatting:

Marker Size: Allows you to use the slider to change the size of the marker. You can also use the up and down arrows to change the size number in the box or you can type a number directly in the box.

Marker Shape: Allows you to select a markers shape from the list: Rectangular, X-shape, Plus Symbol Thin, Circle, Diamond, Triangle, Plus Symbol Thick, Square, or Star. The default marker for all risers is a rectangular marker.

Connect Data Points with Lines: Displays or hides lines that connect the markers in a series.

If you have selected X-Y-Z Scatter Chart in the Graph Styles dialog box, the following options are displayed.

To Floor: Displays or hides lines from the markers to the floor of the Scatter plot.

To Left Wall: Displays or hides lines from the markers to the left wall of the Scatter plot.

To Right Wall: Displays or hides lines from the markers to the right wall of the Scatter plot.

To Neighbor: Displays or hides lines from one marker to the next neighboring marker in a series.
