Histogram: General category

In the General category for Histogram graphs, some or all of the following options are available depending on what type of Histogram graph you are formatting:

  • Gap Width: Allows you to use the slider to change the gap between each group of bar risers in each category. You can also use the up and down arrows to change the number in the field, or you can type a number directly in the field. Larger values increase the distance between each group of bars, while smaller values decrease the gap between each group.

  • Depth: The following depth options allow you to apply shadowing to the graph objects to create three-dimensional formatting for two-dimensional graph types:

  • Use Depth: Applies a depth effect or creates a flat graph. By default, all two-dimensional graphs are displayed with a depth effect applied to the graph frame and risers. When Use Depth is selected, the following options are available:

  • Depth: Allows you to use the slider to specify the amount of depth to be applied to the graph frame and risers. You can also use the up and down arrows to change the number in the field or you can type a number directly in the field.

  • Direction: Allows you to use the slider to specify the direction in which the depth is applied. You can also use the up and down arrows to change the number in the field or you can type a number directly in the field.
