Interfaces for Custom Groups

Use these interfaces to work with custom groups, which group attribute elements in a way that is not defined in the data warehouse. You can:

  • Create and edit a custom group using the Custom Group Editor.
  • Define the filtering conditions using the Condition Editor, to determine which data is included in a custom group element.
  • Format a custom group using the Format Custom Group Dialog Box.
  • Specify options for a custom group, such as the position in which custom group element names are displayed and the way in which the custom group interacts with the report filter, using the Custom Group Options Dialog Box.
  • Use the Select Elements Dialog Box to choose from a list of attribute elements. (Attribute elements are the values of attributes.) For example, you can use the Select Elements dialog box to locate and select the attribute elements to include in a filtering condition, allowing you determine which data is included in a custom group element.
  • Determine how the items in the custom group element are displayed when the element is displayed in a report or document, using the Element Options Dialog Box.
