How to Import Custom Visualizations

You can create custom visualizations using the MicroStrategy Visualization SDK. To add the custom visualization to a dashboard, you must import it into dashboard. After you import the visualization into a dashboard, it is available in all your dashboards. The custom visualization must be saved in a file with a .viz or .zip extension.

Additionally, you can download custom visualizations from the Data Visualizations Gallery on the MicroStrategy Community website.

If you are connected to an environment, you cannot add custom visualizations using the procedure below. Instead, reach out to your system administrator to make the request.

To import a custom visualization for use in other MicroStrategy products, such as Library or MicroStrategy Mobile, see Deploy a Custom Visualization in the MicroStrategy Visualization SDK help.
