SQL statement pane

In the Freeform SQL Editor, located on the top right side is the SQL statement pane. The SQL statement pane is where you type the SQL statement to define what data to retrieve from the data source. Key words such as select, from, where, and group by are highlighted.

You can use carriage returns and Ctrl+Tab for better formatting and readability of your SQL statement. Using the Tab key alone (without Ctrl) allows you to navigate to different panes in the Freeform SQL Editor.

In the SQL statement pane, you can perform the following tasks as needed:

• Adding a new prompt

• Adding an existing prompt

• Adding an optional prompt

• Inserting a security filter

When you right-click anywhere in this pane, you can also select some regular editing options, such as Undo, Redo, Cut, Copy, Paste, and Select All.
