Properties and Formatting Dialog Box: Font

Use the Font options to format the text that appears in:

  • Buttons
  • HTML containers
  • Panel stacks, including filter panels
  • Selectors, except for Search Box selectors
  • Text fields
  • Transaction tables

The Font options in the Properties and Formatting dialog box are described below:

  • For transaction tables, you can change the font for the cell title and value for all cells in the table, and for all the group titles. For each part that you want to format, follow the steps below:
    1. From the first drop-down list, select Cells or Groups.
    2. From the second drop-down list, select the part of the table to format. Your options are:
      • Title (available for cells and groups)
      • Value (available for cells)
    3. Format the font, including the font type, color, size, and so on, as described below.
  • Font: Select any font that is installed and available on your machine. When you select a font name from the list, the font is applied to the currently selected control.
  • Style: Apply italic and bold effects to the control.
  • Size: Select any font size that is installed and available on your machine. Choices in this list vary depending on the selected font type. When you choose a font size, it is applied to the currently selected control.
  • Effects: Apply an underline or strikeout effects to the control. Not available for buttons.
  • Color: Specify a color in which to fill the selected control by clicking the arrow on the color menu and selecting a color. Not available for buttons.
    • Access additional colors by clicking the More Colors button.
    • Apply a color gradient, which is a combination of two colors, to the object. To do so, select the Gradients button. In the Gradients dialog box that opens, select the two colors to use for the gradient. Then select a shading style in which to display the gradient to determine the direction in which the two colors are blended together.
  • Normal state color: The normal state is displayed before the user taps the button. Specify the font color by clicking the arrow on the color menu and selecting a color. Access additional colors by clicking the More Colors button. Available for buttons.
  • Highlight state color: The highlighted (or selected) state is displayed after the user taps the button. Specify the font color by clicking the arrow on the color menu and selecting a color. Access additional colors by clicking the More Colors button. Available for buttons.
  • Sample: A sample of how the text looks when various text-formatting options are selected.
