Interfaces for Working with Selectors

Use the following interfaces to work with selectors. Selectors provide interactivity to documents, allowing each user to change how they see the data. A selector can change panels, the focus of a grid or graph report, or dynamic text fields (a text field that is a reference to an object on a report) in a panel stack.

• Configure Selector Dialog Box, to select options such as whether to use selections in the report or widget to filter or slice data, whether to allow users to view the data for all items in the selector at once, or whether the selector updates the data displayed in document controls (such as panel stacks and other reports) or filters the results of a dataset.
• Dataset Selector Dialog Box, to choose datasets to use as the targets of a report used as a selector.
• Sort Dialog Box, to determine how attribute forms are sorted and displayed in a selector.
