Attribute Forms Dialog Box

If you arrived here from Workstation, see the Workstation Document Authoring Help.

You can choose the attribute forms to display in groups and in element selectors:

  • For groups, you can choose which attribute forms are displayed in the page-by drop-down, which allows the user to select which elements, or subsets of data, to display. For example, a document is grouped by employee. By default, the employee's last name and first name are displayed, separated by a colon. You can re-arrange the attribute forms, to have the first name displayed before the last name. You can display only the ID, or display the ID and then the last name.
  • For element selectors, you can choose which attribute forms you want to display in the selector. For example, a document contains the Customer attribute. By default, the selector displays the customer last name and first name. Instead, you can choose to display the customers by last name and then ID.

In the Available list, select the form to display and click the Add arrow to move it to the Selected list. You can select multiple forms by pressing CTRL and clicking each form that you want to select.

To change the order in which the forms are displayed, click a form in the Selected list and click the Move Up or Move Down arrow. Forms at the top of the list are displayed before forms at the bottom of the list.

Click OK to apply your changes.
