Switching between views

-
Design View displays the structure of the document, or the placeholders for the document components, without the associated contents. You can modify and format the placeholders. Use Design View to create and design a document or edit an existing document.
-
PDF View displays the actual data of the document as it will look when printed (for example, with page breaks). You can use page-by to interactively display groups on separate pages. Use PDF View to view and print the document. You can also save the final PDF (by exporting it).

-
To enhance PDF viewing performance, open Acrobat Reader before switching to PDF view.

Flash View displays a preview of the document as it will look in Flash mode in MicroStrategy Web. Use this view to help size and place objects in a document that will be viewed in Flash. You can use selectors and perform some manipulations such as pivoting and sorting. For more information and instructions, see Previewing documents for MicroStrategy Web.

HTML View displays a preview of the document as it will look in other MicroStrategy Web modes. Use this view to help size and place objects in a document that will be viewed in MicroStrategy Web. This view is most similar to Express Mode in MicroStrategy Web, since you cannot modify the document in either HTML View or Express Mode. For more information and instructions, see Previewing documents for MicroStrategy Web.
