Grid Options: General tab (Document Editor)
This tab is accessed by selecting Options from the Grid menu when a Grid/Graph is edited in Grid view. By default, the General tab is selected.
Grid options for a report differ slightly from the grid options for a Grid/Graph on a document. For information about reports, see Grid Options: General tab in the Report Editor.
Use this tab to select banding, outline mode, and header display options for the Grid/Graph. This tab contains the following:
The Banding options enable the grouping of rows or columns by color to enhance readability. Select one of the following:

No banding: turns off banding.

Custom banding: applies custom banding. See Apply banding to a report for more information.

If Custom banding is selected, the Settings button is activated. Click it to open the Banding Settings dialog box, which allows you to select your banding preference, color, and criteria.

The Outline options are available only if the Grid contains related attributes that can be grouped, for example, division sales further broken down by region. Choose one of the following:

Open with all outline levels expanded: opens the report with all outline levels expanded. Outline mode allows indented grouping of related attributes. This function is particularly useful in instances in which the information displayed would otherwise involve repetitive entries.

Open with all outline levels collapsed: opens the report with all outline levels collapsed.

Open outline expanded up to this level: opens the report expanded up to the level selected in the drop-down list.
The Headers options allow you to set whether headers are displayed.

Show row headers: displays the row headers of the report.

Show column headers: displays the column headers of the report.
