Grid Options: General tab
This tab is accessed by selecting Options from the Grid menu.
The options on this Grid Options dialog box are different if you have accessed it from a Grid/Graph in a document. For information on document grid options, see Document Editor: Grid Options: General tab.
Use this tab to select your banding and outline mode options, as described below:
The Banding options enable the grouping of rows or columns by color to enhance readability. Choose one of the following:

No banding: Turns off banding.

Custom banding: Applies custom banding. Click the Settings button to open the Banding Settings dialog box, where you select your banding preference, color, and criteria. See Applying banding for more information.
The Outline options are available only if the report contains related attributes that can be logically grouped, for example, division sales further broken down by region. Outline mode allows indented grouping of related attributes. This is useful when the information displayed would otherwise involve scrolling through repetitive entries. Choose one of the following:

Open with all outline levels expanded: Opens the report with all outline levels expanded, so that the lowest level of details for the report results is displayed when the report is executed.

Open with all outline levels collapsed: Opens the report with all outline levels collapsed, so that the highest level summary of the report results is displayed when the report is executed.

Open outline expanded up to this level: Opens the report expanded up to the level selected in the drop-down list. The list becomes available once you choose this option.
