Expression Dialog
When you are importing data from a database, by building a SQL query, you can define an expression based on a column to select the data that you want to import.
Access
To access the Expression dialog:
- Open the Import from Tables window while building a SQL query for an import.
- In the Query Builder pane, right-click the column in which you want to define an expression and choose Edit Column.
Fields
Type Expression: Enter the expression you want to define in the pane.
Insert
: Click to select a MicroStrategy function to insert into the expression.
Validate: Click to check your expression for valid syntax.
Clear: Click to clear the contents in the pane.
