Selections pane

The Selections pane is the bottom pane on the right side of the Query Builder Editor. Columns added to this pane are included in the SELECT clause of your SQL queries and become the attributes and metrics on the resulting report. You can also map the column expressions to attributes and metrics used to build a Query Builder report.

The Selections pane allows you to modify the column selections in the following ways:

• Including columns in the SELECT clause

• Removing a column selection

• Defining the column expression

• Performing a simple aggregation

• Creating a column alias

• Mapping column expressions to attributes and metrics

• Modify the attribute form: In the Form drop-down list, select the attribute form.

• Modify the format type: In the Type drop-down list, select the format type for the object. You can only modify the format type of newly added attributes and metrics. You cannot modify the format type of columns that are mapped to existing attributes or metrics that have already been saved to the metadata.
