Steps to include columns in the SELECT clause of a Query Builder report

Once a column is selected and added to the Selections pane (the bottom pane on the right) you can decide whether to include a column in the SELECT clause of your SQL query or only map a column to an attribute or metric. For more information on selecting a column to add it to the Selections pane, see Selecting a column.

To include a column in the SELECT clause of your SQL queries, you must select the check box in the Select column of the Selections pane.

To include a column in the SELECT clause of your SQL queries

  1. Access the Query Builder Editor.

  2. Add tables to your Query Builder report. The tables are added to the Tables and Joins pane (the top pane on the right).

  3. Select columns for your Query Builder report. The columns are added to the Selections Pane.

  4. Select the check box in the Select field for a column.

A check mark denotes that the column is selected and is included in the SELECT clause of your SQL query.
