Steps to rename an object mapped to a column expression

Only newly added attributes and metrics can be renamed. You cannot rename those that are mapped to existing attributes and metrics that have already been saved to the metadata (those that already exist in the Freeform Objects folder or in any folder displayed in the Object Browser window).

Renaming an attribute or metric means that a new attribute or metric is used or created for the column mapping. Changing the name in the Object field in the Query Builder Editor does not rename any existing project or managed objects.

To rename an object mapped to a column expression

1. Access the Query Builder Editor.

2. In the Selections pane (the bottom pane on the right), click the Object field of the column to rename the attribute for.

3. Type the new name for the object.
