Add Visualizations to Bots Using the Prompt Panel

Beginning in Strategy One (March 2025), bots have been enhanced to improve responses and the bot creation process. For more information on the enhancements, see Strategy One (March 2025) Enhancements.

  • You can continue to create bots, as well as edit and use bots created in previous versions. For an introduction, see Auto Bots: Customized Stand-Alone Bots (prior to March 2025).

  • To enable the new bots, contact Strategy support. For an introduction to the new bots, see Auto Bots: Customized Stand-Alone Bots. For steps to create a new bot, see Create a Bot.

Beginning in Strategy One (June 2025), a bot can display customized visualizations that serve as prompts for your end users' analysis. They can quickly view the important information in these prompts, or click the visualization to explore more details. The bot shown below displays three prompts. For steps to use these visualization prompts, see Utilize Visualization Prompts in a Bot.

Use the Prompt panel to add up to three prompts to your bot.

Add a Prompt to the Bot

  1. Create a new bot or open an existing bot and click the Edit icon in the upper right.
  2. Click the Prompt panel .
  3. Click Add Prompt.

  4. In the New Prompt Name box, type the display name of the prompt, such as "Store Analysis" or "Sales Trend Today" from the example above.
  5. In the Prompt box, type a description of the prompt. The description can be as simple as "What is the daily revenue trend?" or as detailed as "Give me a line chart of the sales trend of the last 24 hours. Break the line chart by hours of the day and include an average dotted sales line."

  6. To preview the results of the prompt, click Play. The results of the Monthly Revenue Trend prompt are shown below. It includes a summary, a visualization, and a list of insights.

  7. To add another prompt, click Add Prompt and repeat the steps above. You can add up to three prompts to a bot.
  8. To delete a prompt, click the X next to the prompt.
