Filter Display Styles

You can apply several different display styles to filters. Right-click a filter, choose Display Style and one of the following options:

  • Check Boxes: Select one or more listed attributes to apply as a filter. Attribute filters appear as checkbox filters by default, except for date values, which appear as a calendar filter.
  • Slider: Filter based on a range for metric values or ranks. Metric filters appear as a slider by default.
  • Link Bar: Select one or all listed attributes to apply as filters. The link bar filter is only available when creating a visualization filter. This option only available for visualization (in-canvas) filters.
  • Button Bar: Select one or all listed attributes to apply as filters. The button bar filter is only available when creating a visualization filter. This option is only available for visualization (in-canvas) filters.
  • Search Box: Start entering an attribute name to search for it. Select the attribute from the drop-down. You can also use the following search syntax:
    • " " Exact match
    • * Wildcard
    • AND All keywords
    • OR, space At least one keyword
  • Radio Button: Select one or all listed attributes to apply as filters.
  • Drop-down: Select attributes from a menu to apply as filters.
  • List Box: Select one or all listed attributes to apply as filters. The list box filter is only available when creating a visualization filter. This option is only available for visualization (in-canvas) filters.
  • Calendar: Apply a date range as a filter. This display style is only available for dates and not other types of values. In addition, you can create a date filter that automatically adjusts according to the current date.
  • Qualification: Compare metric values or ranks to a number.
