Group Editor: Project Access Tab

From the Project Access tab of the Group Editor, you can assign privileges to a group for any and all available projects.

The projects are listed across the top, and the privileges are listed in the left-most column.

To assign a privilege to a group for all projects, select the checkbox next to that privilege's name, in the User Level column.

The drop-down list beneath each project's name lists the security roles available for that project. To assign a security role to the group, open the drop-down list and select the checkbox next to the role or roles you want to assign. The drop-down list displays one or more of the following:

  • Blank, if the group has no privileges from a group or a security role.

  • Inherited Access, if the group has inherited privileges in this project from at least one group

  • The name of a security role assigned to the group for this project

  • [Security role name] + [Inherited access] if the group has inherited privileges from a security role and at least one group

  • Multiple, if the group has been assigned multiple security roles for this project

  • [Multiple] + [Inherited access], if the group has inherited privileges from multiple security roles and at least one group.

Several MicroStrategy products require separate licenses for their related privilege to be available (for example, Web Professional privileges, OLAP Services privileges, Report Services privileges, and so on.)
