MicroStrategy ONE
Overview of Additional Configuration Files
Page configuration in MicroStrategy Web is accomplished through settings in the Page Configuration file, called pageConfig.xml, and separate smaller configuration files that are referenced from within pageConfig.xml. While settings for <page> nodes can be set only within the Page Configuration file, the following configuration settings are generally set in separate XML files referenced from within pageConfig.xml.
There configuration settings are nodes in the Page Configuration file that are not used on a page-by-page basis. They govern behavior on all applicable pages within the application. These nodes are not child nodes of the <pages> node.
The settings listed above can also be made within pageConfig.xml, but the recommended practice is to use separate configuration files to ensure that your customizations are correctly propagated in future upgrades. You use the same XML structure, regardless of whether you make the settings in separate configuration files or in pageConfig.xml.
