Page Content and Layout

This section of the MSDL provides insight into how to manipulate MicroStrategy Web content or page layout by using the Page Configuration file and associated configuration files, JSP or ASP .NET files from the presentation layer, and the MicroStrategy custom HTML tags.

• Defining the Page

  This section defines the different components that constitute a page in the MicroStrategy Web page structure. It also contains information about the Page Configuration file that defines the framework for the entire application. All the individual nodes and attributes in the configuration file are explained.  

• Defining Page Layout

  This section expands on the knowledge gathered in the Defining the Page section by discussing the entire contents of the <page> node in the Page Configuration file

• Shortcuts

  This section introduces shortcuts used in the Web application along with detailed examples for using them.  

• Web Beans and Web components

  This section provides information on Web beans used in the application and details on rendering them. Similar information is provided for Web components.

This section covers the <pages> node of the Page Configuration file and also discusses the use of JSP or ASP .NET files and MicroStrategy custom HTML tags, as defined from within the Page Configuration file.
