Emailing a report in .txt format
A report can be emailed from MicroStrategy Developer in any of a number of formats, including a text file (.txt). Recipients must have a text editor such as Microsoft Notepad installed on their machines.
When the recipient opens the attached text file, the report data appears in standard text file columns, as in the example shown below:
The recipient can work with the report's data as in any standard text file, such as editing values, column and row names, and so on.
