How to Edit a Dataset

You can modify a stand-alone dataset from the Navigation pane of the Workstation window.

To edit a dataset

  1. Open the Workstation window with the Navigation pane in smart mode.
  2. In the Navigation pane, click Datasets.
  3. Right-click the dataset you want to modify and choose Edit Dataset. The Preview Dialog opens.
  4. You can modify or refine the data in your dataset before you add it to the dashboard. See Preview Data and Specify Import Options for more information about how to use the Preview dialog. See Modify and Refine Data Before Import for a list of topics that include more options for editing the dataset.
  5. Click Update Dataset.
