Manage Data

The following options are only available for Bots with existing datasets only.

Select Objects in the Dataset

Starting in MicroStrategy ONE (March 2024), you can specify which attributes and metrics should not be used by the Bot.

  1. In the Data tab, navigate to the dataset you want to modify.

  2. Deselect the checkboxes next to each attribute or metric that you don't included in the Bot.

  3. You can select a checkbox next to a metric or attribute to add it to the Bot’s dataset.

    4. If all elements are deselected, an error appears as the Bot has no data to source answers from. The Bot must have at least one element selected to be active.

  4. Click Save.

    5. If a standalone, in-memory cube is changed to direct data access (DDA) outside of the Bot, the Bot no longer supports the data.

Rename Dataset

  1. In the Data tab, click More.

  2. Click Rename.

  3. Type a name and press Enter.

Attributes Settings

Starting in MicroStrategy ONE (March 2024), you can rename attributes in your dataset.

Starting in MicroStrategy ONE (June 2024), you can choose attribute forms that should not be used by the Bot. Deselected attribute forms will not be processed for questions or answers.

  1. Right-click an attribute.

  2. Click Rename, type a name, and press Enter.

  3. Click Attribute Forms and choose the forms you want the Bot to use.

  4. Click Save.

Metrics Settings

Starting in MicroStrategy ONE (March 2024), you can rename metrics in your dataset and choose a preferred number format.

  1. Right-click a metric.

  2. Click Rename, type a name, and press Enter.

  3. Click Number Format and choose the formats you want the Bot to use.

  4. Click OK.

  5. Click Save.
