Showing and hiding conditional formatting
Once you create a conditional format, you can choose to enable or disable it, that is, to display it or to hide it in the PDF. If you have multiple conditional formats on a single document, you can show or hide all of them using the Conditional Formatting icon on the toolbar, or you can select which to display, using the Conditional Formatting dialog box.
By default, the Conditional Formatting icon on the toolbar is disabled, so that users cannot toggle conditional formatting on and off for the entire document. The Show Conditional Formatting option (on the Document Properties dialog box) is also disabled. Disabling them can be useful if users should not see certain sections of the document that are displayed or hidden based on conditional formatting.
For procedures to show and hide conditional formatting, see:
-
Allowing users to show and hide conditional formatting (by enabling the Conditional Formatting icon)
-
Preventing users from showing and hiding conditional formatting (by disabling the Conditional Formatting icon)
These options are demonstrated in the examples in the Document Creation Help.
