Copying and pasting formatting

You can copy and paste formatting between objects in a document, similar to other Windows programs.

Once you have formatted a control in a particular way, you can paste that formatting to other controls of the same type. That is, you cannot paste a rectangle's formatting onto a text field, because the two types do not have the same formatting properties.

You cannot copy formatting between two Grid/Graph objects. You can create an Autostyle and apply it to multiple Grid/Graphs to set the same formatting on all of them. For more information, see Formatting documents using predefined formats (Autostyles).

To copy and paste formatting

  1. Open the document in the Document Editor. How?

  2. Right-click the control with the desired formatting and select Copy.

  3. Select the controls to copy the format to.

The selected controls must be the same type as the control that you copied the formatting from.

  4. Right-click the selected controls and choose Paste Formatting.
