How to Allow Users to Modify Project Defaults

You can determine whether Web users with the "Web administration" privilege can apply changes to project defaults for all projects on an Intelligence Server. If these users are able to make these changes across several projects, the drop-down list at the bottom of the Project Defaults page provides the option, "Apply to all projects on the current MicroStrategy Intelligence Server."

  1. Access the MicroStrategy Web Administrator page. (How?)

  2. From the pane on the left, select Security. The Security page opens.

  3. In the Preferences area, select or clear the Allow users with the 'Web administration' privilege to change project default preferences on all projects checkbox. By default, this checkbox is selected.

    • If this checkbox is selected, the drop-down list at the bottom of the Project Defaults page provides the option, "Apply to all projects on the current MicroStrategy Intelligence Server."

    • If this checkbox is not selected, the drop-down list at the bottom of the Project Defaults page provides only the option "Apply to the current project."

  4. Click Save.
