Displaying expression syntax: Level properties
By default, the metric definition indicates the target of the metric level between curly braces { }. You can display additional level properties to indicate the grouping and filtering settings, as described in Metric Editor Formula tab: Metric level property symbols.
To display level properties

Open the Metric Editor. (How?)

Select the metric definition or the formula, not a component, in the Metric component pane (located under the heading "Metric (metric name) is defined as").

From the View menu, select Show Level (Dimensionality) Properties.
You can also click the Show Level (Dimensionality) Properties icon on the toolbar.
If the properties are hidden, the Metric Editor displays them; if the properties are already displayed, the option is named HideLevel (Dimensionality) Properties and the Metric Editor hides them.
